Ingredients
  • 1 2-1/2 oz bag Fritos
  • 6-8 oz beef, veal or vinison chili heated hot!
  • Grated cotija cheese or queso fresco... I use the later. or Colby
  • 1 ROASTED jalapeno pepper sliced
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 T lime -flavored sour cream
  • tobacco Onions (listed below)
  • FOR ONIONS
  • 5 CUP peanut oil
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne
  • 2 large 1015 onions (this is Texas Sweet onion)
  • peeled, thin sliced and seperated into rings.

Directions
  1. FRITO PIE DIRECTIONS
  2. Slit bag open
  3. Pour hot chile over Fritos
  4. Sprinkle cheese over chili
  5. top with lime flavored sour cream
  6. top with Tobacco Onions
  7. TOBACCO ONION DIRECTIONS
  8. Heat oil in fryer or deep saucepan over med heat to 350.
  9. Combine dry ingredients in bowl
  10. add onions and toss
  11. shake off escess dry mis and fry rings a few at a time for 8-10 min or until goldedn brown.
  12. Drain on paper towels and keep warm until serving.
