Creamy Baked Fettuccine With Asiago And Thyme
From wolfpackjack 16 years agoIngredients
- 1 lb fettuccine pasta shopping list
- 2-1/4 cups grated asiago cheese shopping list
- 2 - 8 oz containers of creme fraiche shopping list
- 1 cup grated Parmesan shopping list
- 1-1/2 Tbsp fresh chopped thyme leaves shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rapid boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook until tender but firm (al dente) ~ 8 to 10 minutes.
- Drain pasta and reserve ~ 1 cup of the pasta water.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups Asiago cheese, creme fraiche, Parmesan, thyme, salt, pepper, cooked pasta, and some of the pasta water.
- Gently toss until all the ingredients are combined and the pasta is coated. If needed add more of the pasta water, you don't want it to thick before it bakes.
- Butter a 9 x 12 casserole dish, place the pasta mixture in the dish, then sprinkle the remaining Asiago cheese over the pasta.
- Bake until golden on top, ~ 25 minutes. Remove from oven and let set for ~ 5 - 10 minutes before serving.
