Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large skillet melt 1/4 cup of butter.
  • Saute the mushrooms until tender.
  • Add the onion and garlic and cook briefly.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • In a large bowl, combine the scallops, bread crumbs, parsley, and mushroom mixture.
  • Mix well.
  • Spoon into a 9x13 inch dish.
  • Melt the remaining 1/4 cup of butter and drizzle over the mixture in the dish.
  • Bake in a 450 degree oven for 10 minutes.

    This dish was delicious. I served it as an appetizer for a get together this weekend and everyone loved the scallops. I did use sea scallops, my preference and Italian Panko Breadcrumbs. I also added a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese to the top. YUM!!!

    Very good, especially with Thatone's cooked diced bacon on top! I used sea scallops, quartered, and a quarter recipe was plenty for just two of us. 10 minutes of baking time was insufficient IMHO, but about 16 minutes did it.

    that is a very good recipe i must say but wat really took that to another level was the crumbled bacon on the top. it was really well worth it.

    I make my scallops very much like this, only I use Ritz cracker crumbs on top. Wonderful!

    I've got extra scallops in the freezer! I'm making this this week after I get more shrooms :) I just used all mine last night. As a matter of fact I made my Seductive Seafood Bake, which used some of the afore mentioned scallops.
