A local restaurant on Watts Bar Lake, The Landing, serves this version of cuban sandwiches. I use the foreman grill to prepare ours...and even though cubans don't have mayo or banana peppers, I always add some Kraft mayo and bp's to mine!

These sound fantastic. I love Cuban sandwiches. If I pass a store onthe highway with a sign that advertises Cuban sandwiches, my truck automatically anticipates my next move and starts to turn in without my input! Great recipe, thanks for posting!

I love a Cuban sandwich (only wish we could get their wonderful bread up here - they never taste quite the same as they did in Miami!)...this will have to be on our table soon (we've been doing a lot of hot sandwiches and soup during this cold winter!)...thank you for sharing.

Oh Yum, sounds fantastic and I have the panini grill to do mine on. They make the most wonderfully crisp sandwiches and the worlds best bacon. Worth having one with a good hinged top, mine is a Cuisinart, love it, I sure get alot of use out of it. Okay you have my 5, great post.

I tried making a cuban at home with the brick wrapped in foil....brick slipped off the sandwich and hit the tile floor shattering the floor tile. Was the sandwich was worth the broken tile, yes!!!! Love my cubans. Although we skip the tomato and add a little more heat than most. Still one of our favorites with black beans and rice. YUMMY.

Hey, I've never heard of a Cuban sandwich before, but if turning it inside out and mashing it while it cooks makes it yummy, I'ma try it for sure! LOL This sounds great, especially the roast pork part---I love my pork! Great one here. --Kn0x--

Yes,no wonder I couldn't find it. These sandwiches were excellent. Used the banana peppers also. we really enjoyed them! I like seeing all the revies on the recipes too.

I'm kind of confused with the outside in and the inside out part!LOL! But this sounds like a really good sandwich!

Sorry Lillian! Sandwich rolls generally have an "inside" and an "outside" of the bun...the sandwich is simply made inside out.
