Ingredients
  • 14 oz burger patty made with ground beef tenderloin
  • 3 beer battered onion rings
  • 4 pieces of thick cut bacon
  • 3 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 homemade milk bun
  • 2 cups beer batter
  • 5-8 wooden skewers to hold it all together

Directions
  1. Don't eat anything for about 1 day prior
  2. Grill off hamburger to rare
  3. Fry onion rings and bacon
  4. Layer slice of cheddar, bacon, slice of cheddar, onion rings, slice of cheddar on top of burger and briefly place in 500 degree oven to melt together.
  5. Place your heart healthy burger stack inside your homemade milk bun, press together, and skewer with your wooden skewers.
  6. Dust well with flour and dip in bear batter, spooning the batter into all crevices.
  7. Drop burger into deep fry basket. If you made your burger right, it will be too tall for the oil to actually cover completely. Carefully ladle hot oil from the fryer over the top of the burger to compensate.
  8. Cook until golden brown.
  9. Remove from fryer, let rest for about 2-3 minutes, and cut in half with a serrated knife.
  10. Serve with lettuce, tomato, onion and horseradish remoulade.
  11. After eating, call your cardiologist, tell him what you've done, and sit in amusement as he has a heart attack for you over the phone.
  12. Disclaimer: Following this recipe and consuming the finished product may be hazardous to your health. Woweeee!!!

Woweeeee! is right. Makes my mouth water.

OK I thought only Paula Deen could get away with a recipe like this LMAO!

Yeah, everyone at the restaurant thought it was pretty hysterical too. I cut it into quarters and handed it out. My grill cook ate one of the quarters and had an uneasy stomach for the rest of the night. Like any true athlete, you must train your gut for many moons before being able to devour this new found American delicacy.

LOL! A true straight-to-the-thighs American classic made even fatter...I mean better! ha ha...I love it....may even try it...but may bust the belt on my treadmill after my ten hours of running on it to burn half the calories after eating it. ;) Even so...it sounds delicious!!!!

It looks great, but can see all the calories!! Thanks so much for sharing!!

Sweet Jesus in heaven! I thought deep fried Bounty Bars were bad *chuckle* That has got to be the most extravagant and far out culinary creation I have ever seen LMAO You are one brave chef ;) Love your gumption though I don't think I could handle it! Great post, thanks for sharing *still chuckling*

Sounds like a heart attack on a bun! Jett

There's a place down the road here that sells a burger that has 2 1/2 lbs. of beef, 1 lb. of bacon, and 1/4 pound of cheese (and you get a coupon for a free one of you eat it in less than 2 hrs)...I think your burger would be harder to eat! Honestly, I couldn't try either, but I would love to watch someone else do it! LOL! Thanks for the laugh!

This recipie sounds yummy but i bet it puts the weight on the hips.

Beautiful Pictures!!

I think that I'll make this the next time my oldest grandson begs me to make bacon cheeseburgers.

That's funny! Only in America...

My arteries are clogging just reading it...I thought only southerners fried everything! Can't say I've ever heard of this though, lol.

Wow, the monte cristo of burgers

WOW!!! This is something else!!!!! I'd have to go out and buy bigger jeans beforre even attempting to eat it!!!! lol

OMG!!!!!!! I'm having chest pains just looking at that burger. I can feel my arteries clogging. Don't think I'm brave enough to try it but it looks awesome. Thanks for the post. :)

Awesome! There is an Irish Pub nearby that makes a deep fried beer battered burger; they just deep fry the patty. Served on a bun with lettuce, tomato, and thousand island dressing. I usually order a side of onion rings and a strongbow cider. It's one of my favorite indulgences.

I think my husband doesn't love me anymore. I can't blame him. What guy wouldn't be instantly infatuated with THIS???? :) Goodbye good 'ol times of meatloaf and beef stew...[sob] [sob]

Hi Chef! Thanks for the invite!

Carrie :)

I actually forwarded this recipe to my coworkers and we spent a good 30 minutes on Wednesday afternoon gaping at it and talking about it. It's a tasty-looking beauty for sure...but it scares me, too. Ha! Great post - thanks...

I'm SO glad I accepted your friend invitation! Thanks for the laugh, and hoping for more recipes like this one. (Actually, I would love to try just a VERY small slice of this - just to be able to say I had. Plus I bet it's delicious ... this is so fattening it's immoral, so must be TWICE as good!) Got my 5 just for the brilliant idea.

I have a feeling we may see a booth selling these at our next state fair! Thanks for the pictures and the chuckles at the thought of eating this creation, I am sure my hubby would like to try though. He loves the 20 oz. burger at a local restaurant. Thanks for the invitation.

I have to make this for my 14 yr. old grandson. He always have 2 big burgers when he eats at a fast food Resturant. I am sure he can eat the whole thing, LOL.I have to say, I would like to try a bite, myself! It looks wonderful!

Now I can see this would be a favorite at my husband's POKER night get together for the guys!! I'll try it out and see what they think. Great idea to quarter it! Thx

Amazing burger, can't add anything original to anyone else's comments. Amazing. I'm sure cardiologists everywhere would be horrified to see this monstrosity. And my husband would be first in line to order one. Delightful conversation starter on the boards. Congrats.

OH MY GOLLY! WOWIE! This looks like a hangover-PMS cure! Given my weakness for bad for your health food-I'm sure I'd love it!

If any of you actually do try this I would love to here how it goes and the stories of upset tummies that follow.

Tums anyone?

Love it, love it, love it!

Your boredom is a dangerous thing. . .now if you did this with sliders, there would be no quartering. . .Yes?

This burger is a Man's dream, my teenage son would devour this and possibly survive, as for my husband I believe we would have to have a defibrillator close by to resuscitate Very innovative can't wait to see more recipes.

I can only dream of eating something like this! gotta tell you though, the picture is awesome. Makes my mouth water and my heart have palpitations!
